Background

The pipeline was to be operated by IEnova, a subsidiary of Sempra Energy. Starting in 2014, various media outlets and government reports announced the project. However, as of 2020 IEnova no longer showed the project on its map of Mexican energy assets, and in the absence of further news, the pipeline appears to have been cancelled.
