Sub-articles:

FLOW Hydrogen Pipeline is a proposed hydrogen pipeline running in Germany.

Location

The pipeline is proposed to run from Lubmin to Stuttgart, passing through Schwedt, Berlin, Leipzig, Leuna, Erfurt, Ludwigshafen and Karlsruhe.

Background

The project is divided into several parts as follows:

FLOW East:

FLOW East is expected to run from the Lubmin at the northern border of Germany to the Czech republic. This part of the project has qualified for PCI status, and will be one of the earlier sections to come online.[6]

FLOW West:

FLOW West consists of pipelines running from Brandenburg to Mannheim, and then to Stuttgart. The Brandenburg-Mannheim sections consist mainly of converted natural gas pipelines, while the additional expansion to Stuttgart will be newly built.

FLOW West - Connected Projects:

The FLOW West - Connected Projects are a series of expansions to the FLOW pipeline system that are currently very speculative. The expansions feature connections to Austria, as well as branches extending past Mannheim and Stuttgart.

The route from the project is derived from the H2inframap, which displays a collection of hydrogen-related projects across Europe.[1]
