Background

In April 2021 Excelerate applied to the Philippine Department of Energy (DOE) to begin construction of the terminal.[5]

The project is included in the list of approved projects by the Department of Energy as of April 27, 2023.[3]

The 2024 IGU report, released in June 2024, states that the terminal is under construction.[4]
