Fujian LNG Terminal Transport Pipeline 福建LNG外输管线

The pipeline is also known as "Strait West Gas Pipeline Network Phase I".[1] It supplies natural gas to 5 major coastal cities along the pipeline, Fuzhou, Putian, Xiamen, Jinjiang and Zhangzhou, including 3 gas power stations.[2]

The Fujian LNG receiving station primarily sources its natural gas from Indonesia's Donggu gas field and also receives LNG resources from 13 countries and regions along the 'Belt and Road' initiative, including Malaysia, Nigeria, and Qatar.[3]

The pipeline runs from Fujian LNG Terminal in Xiuyu, Putian, Fujian to Cangshan/Longan, Fuzhou/Zhangzhou, Fujian.

Strait West Natural Gas Pipeline Network Phase II 海西天然气管网二期工程

Strait West Natural Gas Pipeline Network Phase II 海西天然气管网二期工程, also translated as Haixi Natural Gas Pipeline Network Phase II, is a pipeline network with segments that are operating and in construction in Fujian Province, China. It is located along the western bank of the Taiwan Strait, and inherits its name west strait from this geographical location.

The Strait West Natural Gas Pipeline Network Phase II is described as an important natural gas interconnection project in Fujian Province. It was originally estimated to have a total length of 830 kilometers and a total investment of over 10 billion RMB. The approval process took two years and three months.[7]

  • Construction for the Zhangzhou–Zhao'an Gas Pipeline segment began in 2013. The pipeline was divided into two sections for approval, from Zhangzhou to Zhangpu and from Zhangpu to Zhao'an, and the full pipeline was reportedly finished with construction and operational at the beginning of 2020.
  • Construction on the Fuzhou–Sanming Gas Pipeline began on June 28, 2021.
  • The Fuzhou–Fuding Gas Pipeline segment began operating in December, 2020.
  • Construction on the Quanzhou–Dehua Branch segment began on May 28, 2021 with an investment of 1.34 billion RMB.

The pipeline starts at the Fujian LNG Terminal in Fujian, China to supply LNG to Fuqing, Fujian, China. More specifically, the pipeline would begin at the first station of Lianfeng in western Lianfeng Village, Donghang, Fuqing City, China, and would end at at a transmission station in Jingyang Town, Fuqing City, Fuzhou City.
