San Fernando Gas Pipeline, also known as Gasoducto de Tamaulipas, is a natural gas pipeline in the state of Tamaulipas, Mexico.
Location
The pipeline runs north-south through Tamaulipas state, starting near the United States border at the El Caracol compression station in Reynosa, and continuing south 114km to Los Indios compression station near San Fernando.[1][2]

Background
Gasoducto San Fernando, which feeds into Mexico’s SNG national pipeline network, began commercial operations in November 2003.[6] Gasoductos de Chihuahua holds the operations and maintenance contract for the pipeline, which was built by Italo-Argentine firm Techint.
Technical specifications
The pipeline is 114 kilometers (71 miles) in length, with a diameter of 36 inches. Its capacity is 1.46 billion cubic feet of gas per day, or 15.09 billion cubic meters per year.[1]
