Background on Mine

The Godavarikhani -7 Life Extension Project (GDK-7 LEP) is an underground extension of the Godavari Khani-7 Incline opencast mine of Ramagundam area. The mine of 0.368 MTPA capacity is operated over an area of 180.53 Ha by Singareni Collieries Company Limited, a subsidiary of Coal India, in village Janagaon, Mandal Ramagundam, District Peddapally, State Telangana, India.

Godavarikhani - 7 Life Extension Project (GDK-7 LEP) is existing underground coal mine with a lease hold area of 180.53 Ha. This mine was separated from GDK 7 Incline mine and named as the extension project during the year 1991 with a mine take area of 180.53 Ha. The planned coal production is 0.368 MTPA.[2]
