Background
Crown LNG Holdings Ltd has proposed developing a 5 mpta LNG import terminal in Grangemouth, Scotland, United Kingdom for an estimated investment of US$533 million. The facility will supply a gas-fired power plant.[1]
As of August 2024, Crown LNG confirmed it targeting a final investment decision (FID) for the project by the end of 2024, part of an aim to start operations at the floating terminal in 2027.[2]
