Background

In December 2023, Offshore Energy reported that the UK's UK’s BP Gas & Power Investments and Indonesia’s logistics and supply chain company PT AKR Corporindo signed a joint agreement to work on an LNG import project at Java Integrated Industrial and Port Estate at Gresik, East Java, Indonesia (JIIPE). The project is intended to provide gas to JIIPE as well as to supply extra gas to the indigenous pipelined gas network in East Java.[1]
