Background
On June 28, 2019, a service agreement between Siemens Gas Turbine Technologies LLC and TER-Service LLC for long-term (13 years) maintenance of the units at Groznenskaya power station came into force. The scope of the service contract includes: gas turbines (SGT5-РАС2000E), generators, automatic control systems and electric equipment, as well as the formation of a strategic spare parts warehouse for the customer. In addition, the agreement provides for the modernization of the gas turbines to the 8th version to the 9th version.[9]
Siemens announced the exit from the Russian market in May, 2022.[10] It is unclear if the maintenance of the turbines will continue.
