Background
Guangdong Chenghai Yixin Distributed Gas power station comprises two phases.
Phase One (Unit 1-1, Unit 1-2) received approval from the Shantou Municipal Development and Reform Commission in September 2020. [9]It officially entered the construction phase in August 2023 and is expected to be operational in 2024.[10]
Phase Two (Unit 2-1, Unit 2-2) released a social stability risk assessment and public participation announcement in May 2022. The plan is for it to be operational in December 2024.[11]
