Background
According to the capacity replacement plan in February 2022, Guangxi Qiji Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. plans to build three 2060m³ blast furnaces and three 150-ton basic oxygen furnaces.[1]
According to the capacity replacement plan in July 2022, Guangxi Qiji Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. plans to build a 2060m³ blast furnace, a HISmelt non-blast furnace ironmaking equipment, and a 150-ton basic oxygen furnace.[2]
In total, the company announced plans to build 3*2,060 blast furnace in 2022[3], all of which were commissioned in 2023.[4]
