Background
On April 3, 2021, the first phase (Unit 1, Unit 2 and Unit 3) of Guangxi Fangchenggang Steel Base power station officially began its operation with three units. This project is the first in China to utilize subcritical 15,000-kilowatt units for blast furnace gas power generation, comprehensively harnessing surplus secondary energy to produce electricity.[10]
