Background

In July 2014, the chief minister of Punjab said the government was planning to build 110 MW coal power plants (2 x 55 MW) near industrial load centres in seven big cities: Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Multan, and Lahore.[1]

With no developments since July 2014, the project appears to be abandoned.
