Haiti and coal

From Global Energy Monitor

Haiti does not produce, consume, or import coal, but holds a small amount of coal resources.

Coal Resources

Haiti holds a small amount of coal resources. These are found in the Central Plateau (Maissade/5e and Savane-Haleine coal fields) near the town of Maissade, a short distance west of Hinche. The coal fields of Camp Perrin and L'Asile are on the southern peninsula, but their extent and coal quality are not well known.[1]
