Background

Hsieh-Ho power station (協和發電廠) had four steam turbine generators burning heavy oil, and the old machines (1, 2) were decommissioned in December 2019. [12]The reconstruction plan for Hsieh-Ho power station (協和發電廠) involves transitioning from oil to gas. Unit 1 and Unit 2 will be natural gas combined cycle units, expected to commence operation in 2025 and 2030, replacing Unit 3 and Unit 4.[13][14]
