Background
Huadian Kashi power station began as a 4 x 50 MW coal-fired power station commissioned from 2002 to 2007. Units 1 and 2 were retired in 2014. That year plant owner China Huadian added two 350 MW coal-fired units.[3][4][5]
Units 3-4 were retired in 2018.[6]
In December 2023, bidding was announced for two additional Phase III units, 2 x 660 MW.[7]
