Huainan Tianji power station (淮南矿业淮沪煤电公司田集电厂) is an operating power station of at least 2580-megawatts (MW) in Jiahe Town, Panji, Huainan, Anhui, China with multiple units, some of which are not currently operating. It is also known as 淮沪电力田集电厂三期 (Phase III Unit 5).

Background
The two existing coal-fired units of Huainan Tianji power station, totaling 1,260 MW, were brought online in 2007. The two units cost ¥5 billion ($800 million).[1][2][3][4][5]
Phase II
The plant's owner built two additional coal-fired units at this plant, with a total capacity of 1,320 MW. The first unit was completed in 2013, and the second was completed in 2014.[6][7][8][9]
Phase III
In October 2022, a third phase began undergoing the public consultation process.[10]
Ownership
In July 2015, China Power Investment Corporation (CPI) and State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation (SNPTC) merged to become State Power Investment Corporation (国家电力投资集团), one of the five largest state-owned electricity producers in the People's Republic of China.[11]
