Background
In 2017, nine electricity generation licenses risked cancellation.[4] These included a 90 MW generation license by Anita Energy Limited, a 90 MW license by Bresson A.S. Nigeria Ltd, and three generation licenses held by First Independent Power Co. Ltd (including the 95 MW-Eleme, 150 MW Omoku, and 136 MW-rans-Amadi), Ibafo Power Station Ltd 200 MW, Shell Petroleum Development Co. Limited 642 MW and 100 MW by Agbara Shoreline Power Co. Ltd.
In 2030, the power plant is expected to come online.[5]
