Network background

The Hunan Natural Gas Pipeline Network consists of operating, in-construction and proposed pipelines. The most recent network developments are expanded upon in the "Hunan Province Natural Gas Transport Pipeline Network 3-Year Construction Action Plan (2020-2022)" 湖南省天然气输气管网建设三年行动计 (2020—2022年). By 2022, the network will reach approximately 3,900 kilometers, and provide natural gas to 14 of Hunan's largest cities.

The network investment totals approximately 6.027 billion RMB. Investors in the network include Hunan Province Natural Gas Network Company, with about 2.4 billion RMB and 332 million RMB from Xiangtou Natural Gas Investment Company.[1][2]

The Great Western Hunan Gas Pipeline received an investment of 583.5 million RMB from Hunan Province Natural Gas Network Company. This sub-network sources natural gas from the Sinopec's Southeastern Sichuan Basin (川东南地区气田)[3]
