HySoW Mediterranean Pipeline is a proposed hydrogen pipeline system in France.

Location

HySoW Mediterranean:

The pipeline is proposed to run from Barbaira to Lias, Cruzy to Barbaira, Lias to Blagnac, and Port-la-Nouvelle terminal to Barbaira.[1]

HySoW Atlantic:


The pipeline is proposed to run from Captieux to Lussagnet, Castillon to Captieux, from the Hydrogen storage facility in Dax to Lussagnet and Lacq, Lussagnet to Lussan, Lussan to Lias, Port de Bordeaux terminal to Castillon, Lussagnet to Larrau, and a connection from Lussagnet to Irun, Spain (Interconnector FR-ES).[1]

Background

The HySoW Mediterranean and Atlantic pipelines are part of the broader HySoW project proposed by Terega, aiming to create a connection to Spain, as well as provide for an East-West route through the South of France.[4]

HySoW Mediterranean is expected to be commissioned in 2029, while HySoW Atlantic features projects that have start dates ranging from 2029 to 2041.

The route from the project is derived from the H2inframap, which displays a collection of hydrogen-related projects across Europe.[2]
