Background
India Cements was established in 1946 and has build over eight plants in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and two grinding units in Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra over the seven decades of its operations.[1][2] In December 2024, UltraTech acquired India Cement Limited.[3]
The Yerraguntla plant was acquired from Cement Corp of India in 1998 and had an installed capacity of 0.4 million tonnes per annum (mtpa).[1][4]
