Indiabulls Power is a power generation subsidiary of the diversified financial services, real estate and infrastructure company, the Indiabulls Group. On its website the company states that it is currently developing coal-fired power projects with 5400 megawatts of capacity.[1]
Coal projects under construction
Indiabulla Power have two coal-fired power stations which are currently under construction. These are the:[1]
- Amravati Thermal Power Project, a 1350MW power project proposed to be built at at Nandgaonpeth, Amravati district, Maharashtra. The company states that "coal linkage has been granted and letters of assurance from South Eastern Coalfields Ltd. (SECL), Western Coalfields Ltd. (WCL) and Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd. (MCL) have been issued."[2]; and
- the Bhaiyathan Thermal Power Project, a 1320 megawatt coal plant to be built near Bhaiyathan Tehsil, Surguja district, in the state of Chhattisgarh.[3]
- Nasik Thermal Power Project, a 1350 MW power project proposed for Sinnar, Nasik district, in Maharashtra. The company states that "coal linkage has been granted and letters of assurance from South Eastern Coalfields Ltd. (SECL), Western Coalfields Ltd. (WCL) and Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd. (MCL) have been issued."[4]
