J-POWER Tachibana-wan power station (橘湾発電所 電源開発) is an operating power station of at least 2100-megawatts (MW) in Kokatsu Island, Anan, Tokushima, Shikoku, Japan. It is also known as Tachibanawan J-Power power station.

Background

The J-POWER Tachibana-wan power station comprises two 1050 MW units, which were commissioned in July 2000 and December 2000, respectively. It is owned and operated by J-POWER, the trading name for the Electric Power Development Co.

In March 2024, operation of Unit 1 was suspended due to a crack found in a steam pipe.

In May 2024, J-POWER stated that Tachibana-wan power station would begin co-firing with ammonia by the end of FY2030.
