Jayaswal Neco Industries Nagpur steel plant is a 1000 thousand tonnes per annum (TTPA) blast furnace (BF), basic oxygen furnace (BOF) and direct reduced iron (DRI) steel plant operating in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India.

Background
The Jayaswal Neco Industries steel plant began operation in 1972.[2]
In 2013, an accidental blast occurred at the plant, killing one worker and injuring twelve others. The cause was unknown.[3]
In 2016, Jayaswal Neco announced that the plant's blast furnace would be shut down for 8-10 days due to technical issues.[4]
In 2020, production at the plant was also temporarily interrupted due to the Covid-19 pandemic.[5] It is unclear whether they have since resumed operation.
The company website mentions that the plant is under expansion to reach a capacity of 2 mtpa by 2025.[6]
