Jilin Gol No.2 Surface coal mine (内蒙古吉林郭勒二号露天煤矿有限公司吉林郭勒二号露天煤矿) is a permitted coal mine containing production capacity of 18 million tonnes(Mt) per year. It is sponsored and managed by Inner Mongolia Jilin Gol No. 2 Surface Mine Co. which was established in 2009 and restructured in 2012. Liaoning Tiefa Energy, the largest state-owned coal enterprise in Liaoning Province, serves as one of its main share holders. This project is located within the Jilin Gol Mining Area of Eastern Inner Mongolia coal base, one of the national 13 large coal bases. [1]
