Jorong Anchorage is a coal-loading anchorage point located off the coast of South Kalimantan, Indonesia.[1]
Location
Background
At this location, barges loaded with coal in Kalimantan transfer their cargo to oceangoing vessels using floating cranes or other technology.
In 2009, it had the capacity to handle 8,000-12,000 tonnes of coal per day.[2]
In its 2023 annual report, PT Indo Tambangraya Megah reported that it exported 15.8 million tonnes of coal in 2023 and 14.8 million tonnes in 2022.[3] PT Indo Tambangraya Megah also owns the Bontang Coal Terminal.
