Jubilee–Atuabo Gas Pipeline is an existing natural gas pipeline, running from the Jubilee offshore gas field to Atuabo, Ghana.
Location
The pipeline runs from the Jubilee offshore gas field to a gas processing plant near Atuabo, Western region, Ghana. At Atuabo, the pipeline connects to the Atuabo–Aboadze Gas Pipeline.
Background
The Jubilee–Atuabo Gas Pipeline is a 12-inch, 59-km offshore natural gas pipeline, which transports dense-phase gas from the two offshore Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSOs) Kwame Nkrumah for Jubilee and John Atta Mills for TEN, to a gas processing plant near Atuabo[1]. The pipeline is part of Ghana's Western Corridor Gas Infrastructure Development Project which in addition to the offshore pipeline comprises a 186-km onshore pipeline, a 150 mmscfd natural gas processing plant in Atuabo, the Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs) export system, and an office complex. It is owned and operated by Ghana National Gas Company, and was completed in 2019, with Sinopec as the construction contractor. Financing was provided by the Chinese Development Bank.[2]
