Background
The pipeline was proposed by PNGRB as an alternative to the Kakinada-Vizag-Srikakulam Gas Pipeline which was cancelled in December 2023. [1] The pipeline is planned to start from Kakinada and connect to GAIL’s KG Basin Natural Gas Pipeline Network, PIL’ EastWest Natural Gas Pipeline and IMC’s under construction pipeline Kakinada-VijaywadaNellore, to finally end at Srikakulam and connect to GAIL’s Srikakulam-Angul Natural Gas Pipeline.[1]
