Background
In July 2008, Tam Enerji Üretim A.Ş. (a subsidiary of Soyak Holding) was granted environmental permits by Turkey's Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) to build a coal mine and 100-MW mine-to-mouth coal-fired power plant in Sivas province. Final permits were granted in August 2010,[1][2][3][4] but the permit for the power plant appeared to have been cancelled as of August 2017.[5]
As of November 2021 the project had not progressed in more than four years, and appears to be cancelled.
