Kharabali-Akhtubinsk 2-Akhtubinsk 1 Gas Pipeline (Russian: Газопровод-отвод – Харабали – Ахтубинск-2 – Ахтубинск-1 Харабалинского и Ахтубинского районов Астраханской области) is a proposed gas pipeline in Russia.

Location

The pipeline is proposed to run from Kharabali gas distribution station, Kharabalinsky District, Astrakhan Oblast to Akhtubinsk 2 gas distribution station, and on to Akhtubinsk 1 gas distribution station in Akhtubinsky District, Astrakhan Oblast, Russia.

Background

The Kharabali-Akhtubinsk 2-Akhtubinsk 1 Gas Pipeline was included in the gasification program of Gazprom for 2021-2025 for the Astrakhan region. The fuel source for the pipeline is Hosheutovo-Akhtubinsk gas pipeline branch on the 458.2 km of Makat-North Caucasus gas pipeline.

In July 2023, Glavgosekspertiza of Russia approved the project documentation and the front-end engineering design of the pipeline. The new branch pipeline will allow to connect transmission pipelines "Makat–North Caucasus" and "Leninsk-Znamensk-Akhtubinsk", thus, increasing reliability of gas supply to Akhtubinsk, Znamensk and other residential areas in the Astrakhan region.
