Background
The Koolanooka Mine is located in Koolanooka, Western Australia, Australia. The mine began operations in 1964, serving as a early contributor to the iron ore industry.[1] After a decade of operations, it was temporarily closed in 1974. However, the Koolanooka Mine was reopened in 2010 having a history of multiple periods of closure and restarts. As of the latest update, the mine is classified as retired.
100% Ownership of the Koolanooka Mine is held with Sinosteel Midwestern Corporation Ltd.
