Background

In November 2019 H-Energy received environmental approval to build the 5-mtpa terminal from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.[3] The terminal's original capacity will be 3 mtpa, with the option to be expanded to 5 mtpa in the future.[2]

According to the 2023 GIIGNL report, the project has received EC Approval, as well as approvals from National Waterways and Kolkata Port Trust. [1]
