L&M Energy South Canterbury Coal Seam Gas exploration project is a coal seam gas exploration project of L&M Energy (LME), a New Zealand based energy company. LME states on its website that the Petroleum Exploration Permit 38219 area is a 3,600km2 onshore permit located in the Canterbury Basin. The permit area runs from Ashburton in the north and south as far as Waimate.[1]
