La Carlota-Tío Pujio Gas Pipeline, also known as the Gasoducto de Integración Federal, is a proposed gas pipeline in Córdoba province, Argentina.
Location
The pipeline's proposed route would run from the La Carlota compressor station (on the Gasoducto Centro Oeste network) to the Tío Pujio compressor station (on the Gasoducto Norte network).[1][2][3]

Background
Proposed in 2022, the 123-kilometer La Carlota-Tío Pujio Gas Pipeline is designed to connect the existing Centro Oeste and Gasoducto Norte pipeline systems[1][4], to facilitate and expedite the transport of fossil gas from Argentina's Vaca Muerta region to customers in northern Argentina, and to pave the way for possible future exports to Chile and Bolivia.[3][6] The new pipeline is a key component of the Reversión del Gasoducto Norte project, which aims to reverse the direction of flow along the Gasoducto Norte from southward to northward, allowing northern Argentina to replace imports of Bolivian gas with domestically produced supplies.[3][6] In January 2023, Argentina's Ministry of the Economy announced that financing for the US$540 million project would be provided by the Latin American development bank CAF (Cooperación Andina de Fomento).[3][6][7]
In January 2024, Argentina's state-owned energy company ENARSA awarded a contract to UTE Techint-Sacde for construction of the first 100 km of pipeline[8], and in March 2024 ENARSA signed a contract for the remaining 22 km with the Argentine engineering firm BTU.[9]
As of May 2024, construction of the first 100 kilometers of pipeline was complete, with the remaining 22 kilometers scheduled for completion by August 2024.[5] Hydraulic tests were underway along the full length of the completed pipeline in August 2024, with commissioning expected in mid-September.[10]
