Lao Cai Cast Iron and Steel Plant, also known as LCCISP, is a blast furnace-basic oxygen furnace (BF-BOF) steel plant operating in Tang Long Town, Lao Cai, Vietnam.

Background

In 2004, Vietnam Steel Corporation, the Lao Cai Mineral Company and China's Kunming Steel Group joined hands to exploit iron ores and build the first steel plant in Vietnam's northern Lao Cai Province.[1] The construction of the plant commenced in 2011.[2] The plant was inaugurated in 2014 with an initial capacity of 500 ttpa.[3]
