Background
The power station started off as three of oil-fired turbines, before being converted to use natural gas between 1997 and 1998. All three have since been decommissioned, being replaced by a more modern gas-fired turbine.[5]
The new unit provides 289 MW of combined heat-and-power (CHP) through a gas-fired combined cycle gas turbine.[6]
