Lion Industries Amsteel Banting steel plant, also known as AMSB Banting, Amsteel II, is a steel plant in Banting, Selangor, Malaysia that operates direct reduced iron (DRI) and electric arc furnace (EAF) technology.

Background

Amsteel Mills Sdn Bhd owns and operates the Lion Industries Amsteel Banting plant and Lion Industries Amsteel II plants in Klang, Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia.[1] Both the plants produce long steel products.[2] Amsteel Milss' second plant, the Banting plant, was commissioned in 2001 to produce steel billets.[3] In December 2021, Amsteel Mills bought Lion DRI unit owned by Lion Industries Megasteel plant, which had ceased operating since February/March 2016.[4]
