Background
The Ludwigshafen Sud power plant operates at BASF's chemical production facility at Ludwigshafen, providing 396 MW of combined heat-and-energy (CHP) to the industrial site.[4] The generating unit is a gas-fired combined cycle gas turbine.[5]
