Luneng Baoqing Chaoyang power station is a proposed 5,200-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Heilongjiang Province, China.

Background on Project

SGCC's Luneng Group was planning to build a coal-fired power plant with a total planned capacity of 5,200 MW in Heilongjiang Province.

In 2010 Luneng Group transferred its coal possessions, including coal power plants, to Guodian (State Grid). In 2012 Guodian transferred the coal assets to Shenhua Group Corporation.

As of 2014 it appears the only power station Shenhua Group is pursuing is the 1200 MW Luneng Baoqing power station in Baoqing County.
