Background
In 2016, a pipeline running to the Magnolia LNG Terminal was approved by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).[1]
In September 2020, the developer of the Magnolia LNG Terminal requested a five-year extension to build out the facilities. It was originally scheduled to be in service by 15 April 2021.[2]
According to the Energy Information Administration (EIA), there is an approved reversal project which would reverse the pipeline's transmission direction. As of April 2021, the EIA had the reversal project listed as "Approved/On Hold".[3]
As of January 2022, the associated Magnolia LNG Terminal was still considered proposed, and so the related Magnolia Gas Pipeline continues to be considered proposed as well.
