Background
The 2 × 660 MW ultra-supercritical units were reported to be permitted to build by the Inner Mongolian Development and Reform Commission in December 2022.[3]
In April 2023, Harbin Electric Group Steam Turbine Company won the bid for the procurement of steam turbines and ancillary equipment for the power station.[4] In May 2023, North China Institute won the bid for unit engineering survey and design.[5] In July 2023, bidding for construction supervision began.[6]
Construction starting ceremony was held on 31 August 2023.[7][8]
