Maritsa East Hydrogen Pipeline is a proposed Hydrogen pipeline in Bulgaria.

The pipeline is proposed to connect the Maritsa East Coal Region to the Bulgartransgaz gas network.[1]

Background
This pipeline is intended to be suitable for the transportation of natural gas, hydrogen and other low-carbon gaseous fuels and their mixtures in the Maritsa East coal region. It will connect both to the Bulgartransgaz Transmission Network and the IGB.[5]
50 of the 175 km will be repurposed from existing pipelines, but the remaining 125 km will be built specifically to carry Hydrogen and other gases.[3]
