Background

The total capacity of the power station is 3,405.7 MW, including three gas turbines with the capacity below the GEM's threshold of 50 MW (146.7 MW total).[19][20]

Mary-3 Combined Cycle Power Plant (CC1, CC2)

Mary-3 is Turkmenistan’s first combined-cycle power plant and the largest in Central Asia completed in a single phase. As part of the project, a 94-kilometer gas pipeline was constructed. The 1,574 MW power station was built by Turkish company Çalik Enerji, with construction starting in July 2015 and finishing in December 2018. The plant is equipped with four GE F.03 multi-shaft gas turbines, four HPLP waste heat boilers, and two steam turbines.[21]
