Background
The project is located at the former ATI Allegheny Ludlum Steel Plant along the Ohio River. Mawson has leased a portion of this property to install its modular mining rig containers.[2] Mawson entered a five year power purchase agreement with Energy Harbor Corporation, which owns the Beaver Valley Nuclear power plant located directly across the river.[1] The nuclear plant may also provide power to Standard Power's proposed 300 MW cryptocurrency mining operation there.
