Background

Mine at Ha Lam is operated by Ha Lam Coal Company, a subsidiary of Vietnam National Coal (Vinacomin), in Vietnam. The mine is operated by Ha Lam Coal Company, a subsidiary of Vietnam National Coal (Vinacomin).

In July 2019, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in Hanoi approved an exploration project at Ha Lam coal mine. According to planning project 403 for Ha Lam mine area until 2020, there will be one new project under -50m with a capacity of 2,400 thousand tons per year, and over the 2021 to 2030 period, there will be one new project with a capacity of 500 thousand tons per year, exploited with the protection pillars. It is expected that after implementing all the items of exploring activities, the coal reserves and resources will reach more than 81 million tons.
