The Liverpool Range rail project (stage 2) is listed by ABARES as a $355 million Australian Rail and Track Corporation proposed expansion of the 32 kilometre section of line between Maitland and Minimbah as waiting on government approval. It is listed as being scheduled to be completed in 2012.[1]
