Background

Originally a 70 MW plant with two 35 MW units, the Modesto Maranzana power station has steadily increased its capacity through expansions in 2008, 2010, 2017 and 2024.[13][14]

In November 2021 Bitfarms announced a partnership with Grupo Albanesi allowing excess energy from the Modesto Maranzana plant to be used to mine bitcoins.[15][16]

The Modesto Maranzana power station is ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001 and Integrated Management System certified.[13]
