Background

This pipeline, along with Taisnieres sur Hon-Mons, Berneau–Gravenvoeren Gas Pipeline and Paris-Taisnieres Gas Pipeline are sometimes referred to as the Paris-Maastricht Pipeline and connects Belgium, Netherlands and France.[7][8]

The pipeline also features a connection to Warnant Dreye-Petange Gas Pipeline, which connects Luxembourg and Belgium within an "integrated gas market".[9]

Fluxys is also planning to build a hydrogen-ready pipeline parallel to the existing pipeline.[5] This forms a key part of the European Hydrogen Backbone, where the H2 pipeline is expected to be operational by 2030.
