The mine is part of Cluster No. 11 (BCCL).[7]
The mine has an ongoing longwall expansion project. In response to a right of information request in 2021, the mine is still listed by the Government of India as an active new mine project.[8] Bharat Coking Coal Limited, a subsidiary of Coal India, operates the Cluster 11 coal mines.[7]
