Coal Mine Background

A Scoping Study was completed on the project in 2013 as well as successful exploration programs in 2013 and 2014, which resulted in a JORC Resource upgrade.

The current permission requests a mine life of 30 years.[1] It is unclear whether this mine is a going concern as the website has not been updated since 2015[2] and the project specific website was down in January 2020 when a Definitive Feasibility Study is under way. But the project has not been updated since and appears to be shelved.[1]

Graphics on Cuesta Coal's website suggest that coal would be exported via either Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal or Hay Point Coal Terminal.[1]
